This week, we launched the INSOL Future Leaders Programme, Saudi Arabia 2024, alongside INSOL International and the Bankruptcy Commission لجنة الإفلاس. This interactive program is the first of its kind and aims to support the talent and knowledge base for future leaders in the #restructuring, #privatedebt, #capitalsolutions and special situations community in the Kingdom. Three further leadership events will take place throughout the year involving mock restructuring scenarios and managing negotiations with lender committees, boards of distressed companies and new money and special situations investors. Kamran Bajwa, managing partner and head of our Middle East Practice, delivered the opening remarks, and partner Mohsin Iqbal and associates Husni Almousli and Ruba (Alsharefaruba) Alharthi gave insights on early signs of financial distress and debt trading and debt assignments under the new KSA Civil Transactions Law.
