Who inspires me in the cannabis industry? This #internationalwomensday I'm celebrating women in my #cannabiscommunity that show up and represent. This group inspires me with their talent, collaborative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit. And although we absolutely need to celebrate women more than once a year, today is an occasion to take the time to stop, reflect and celebrate because the fact is that women are greatly underrepresented in positions that will influence the future of this industry. And today serves as a reminder to continue nurturing and growing our community of amazing women in Cannabis. #diversityequityinclusion should not fall on the shoulders of women and other marginalized communities. To solely expect people who didn't have generational privileges and benefits to uplift and amplify ourselves is both ludicrous and negligent. The lynch pinch of a community is that you provide support to help others where you can. And when less than 3% of my industry of cannabis supply-side brands are women owned, we need help and support beyond just those of us in this 3% helping each other. So please take the time to educate yourself on how you can be a part of the solution. Being silent doesn't make you an ally: The opposite of speaking up is not speaking at all.
