Trend 6 – Get Rich or Die Trying: The Costs of Belonging Highlights: The erosion of the Canadian Dream has increased the tension between economic demands and the desire for belonging. Achieving work-life balance is harder as capitalism prioritizes financial gain over well-being. The rise of “quiet quitting” reflects a growing disillusionment with the relentless pursuit of economic success. Economic pressures are contributing to loneliness and mental health challenges.
