The Centre's activities focus on empowering communities to create lasting wealth in a carbon constrained 21st century Working at the nexus of energy, water, food, and people we research, design, and deliver innovative climate change solutions. On Friday, December 20, Minister Guilbeault presented Canada's finalized Clean Electricity Regulations, which are the result of almost three years of extensive consultations with provinces, territories, Indigenous communities, industry, and other stakeholders and provide the certainty necessary for planning Canada's future electricity grid. The Regulations limit harmful pollution while ensuring that grid operators have the flexibility to meet rising electricity demand as our population and economy grow. Federal government announces more than $1B for clean energy projects in N.B. The federal government has announced just over $1 billion in funding for clean electricity projects in New Brunswick. Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Steven Guilbeault in Dieppe on Sunday, December 8, for the announcement, said the money would ensure that the province's power grid can keep up with increasing demand.
