Canada's $2B Canadian Sovereign AI Compute Strategy marks a pivotal shift in the tech landscape: prioritizing made-in-Canada solutions that balance innovation with accessibility and environmental responsibility. “With the budget allocation now firm and as companies come together to build data centre infrastructure, federal investments are said to favour projects and companies developing innovative and environmentally sustainable Canadian components such as AI chips – a focus that is incredibly important to us," said Bob Beachler, VP of Product at Untether AI.
