About us
United Way of Windsor-Essex County funds programs/services that focus on prevention such as after-school and social skills development programs for children and youth. Many programs provide temporary supports for people in need such as food banks and food cooperatives. United Way supports programs under three strategic investment priorities: 1. Supporting Basic Needs and Independence To ensure that residents of Windsor-Essex County have access to food, shelter and other necessities that support and transition individuals and families towards greater independence. 2. Positioning Kids and Families for Success To provide opportunities to develop positive social and cognitive skills and to educate and support parents and kids to build stronger families. 3. Creating Thriving Neighbourhoods To inspire residents to participate and contribute to their neighbourhood, and create a sense of ownership that improves neighbourhood conditions.

Earlier this month, our friends at Ford Canada, Unifor Local 200, and Unifor Local 240, came together for a day of training in support of their United Way fundraising campaign. Champions learned about the challenges our community faces, helped design solutions to support children and youth, and received valuable training on fundraising best practices and effective canvassing. Thank you for your continued participation and showing your local love 🧡 Ford Motor Company Unifor National

A heartfelt thank you to all of the incredible support of staff and students at St. Clair College! Your continued support of United Way programs like On Track to Success is making a lasting impact on local students in #YQG. As Leslie Frattaroli, Vice-President of Development at United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent, shared, "Together, we can change the trajectory of a young person's life, with many of them choosing to continue their educational journey right here at St. Clair College. In fact, 59 On Track to Success graduates are current students at St. Clair College, and we've had 24 students graduate from the College.'" Thank you for helping create brighter futures for local families. 💚
