  • You did it! 🥟🎉 Manitobans have checked in over 1,000 times using the Manitoba Perogy Trail, unlocking a donation to Oseredok Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre! ✨ We marked the milestone earlier today at a celebratory event with the trail’s sponsor, Rob Naleway, owner of Perogy Planet Main Street, presenting a $5,000 cheque to Yulia Zmerzla, Executive Director of Oseredok, which will help support the centre’s efforts to preserve and share Ukrainian heritage in Manitoba. "We’re so excited to see the community come together to support local businesses and celebrate Ukrainian culture in Manitoba,” said Naleway. “Our donation is a small way to give back to the community that has given so much to Manitoba and to ensure that these stories, flavours and traditions continue to thrive." "This donation will make a significant impact on our programming, allowing us to continue sharing and celebrating Ukrainian culture in Manitoba. We’re deeply grateful to Perogy Planet, Travel Manitoba and everyone who participated in the Manitoba Perogy Trail,” said Zmerzla. "For many cultures, food is about connection and sharing traditions. In Manitoba, Ukrainian food holds a special place in our hearts and few dishes capture that as universally as perogies,” said Cody Chomiak, CDME, Vice President of Marketing. “The Manitoba Perogy Trail was a unique initiative that resonated with Manitobans and visitors to the province. We’re thrilled to see the success of this trail and initiatives like these that bring people together, highlight Manitoba’s rich cultural mosaic and make meaningful connections through shared experiences.”    🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eMEiGKbc #ExploreMB #ManitobaPerogyTrail #Ukraine #CultureandHeritage

  • Over the past 14 weeks, Travel Manitoba was pleased to have Jillian Recksiedler making a difference through her secondment to the @United Way Winnipeg’s Sponsored Campaign Associate program.✨ The leadership program brings together passionate individuals, on loan from supportive employers, to organize hundreds of workplace campaigns across the city. Along the way, participants deepen their understanding of Winnipeg’s challenges and discover the vital role we all play in building a healthier, more equitable community. ❤️ At the end of the program, each participant receives accreditation through the University of Manitoba. Travel Manitoba has proudly supported United Way Winnipeg’s workplace campaigns for the past two years, and we’re thrilled to have taken part in this impactful initiative. Jillian, thank you for representing us so well and for your dedication to making a positive impact in our city! #WeAreAllWpg #ExploreMB

We are SO THANKFUL to our Sponsored Campaign Associates and their employers who have let us have them for fourteen weeks! Sponsored Campaign Associates learn about our city’s challenges and the role we all play in building a healthier city for everyone who lives here. They are a key component of our annual campaign and help make our fundraising successful. We’ve been inspired by their passion and dedication as they take on this learning and then take on the work to make Winnipeg better for all—because we are all Winnipeg. #WeAreAllWpg
