The last Committee of the Whole and Council Meetings of the year were packed with plenty to look forward to! These were the highlights.

Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities 🌎 This important day reminds us that when we create inclusive environments, everyone benefits. Let's work together to make The Archipelago a more accessible and equitable community.

Today, Township of The Archipelago staff joined forces with other West Parry Sound municipalities for Emergency Management Training. This important session focused on preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies that can impact our communities. Our team participated in a mock emergency exercise, practicing effective strategies for responding to municipal disasters. These hands-on experiences ensure we’re ready to work together and keep our residents safe when it matters most!

On this Remembrance Day, we honour the courage and sacrifice of all who have served and continue to serve our country. Join us today for the Pointe au Baril Remembrance Day Ceremony. The service will commence at 10:30am at the Georgian Cliffs Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 138 South Shore Road, Pointe au Baril. Thank you to North of 50 for providing lunch following the service at the Pointe au Baril Community Centre. All attendees are welcome to join. Let us take a moment to remember the lives lost in pursuit of peace and freedom. Lest we forget 🇨🇦

Following the service, lunch will be provided by North of 50 at the Pointe au Baril Community Centre for all attendees. Together, we will honour and remember those who served Canada in times of war and peace.
