Toronto International Film Festival reposted this
Tuesday, I spent a fantastic afternoon at @TIFF with Share Her journey, (a program for gender equality in the film industry) that celebrated donors and makers. There was bubbly, followed by a screening of “Bonjour Tristesse” which was written, directed and produced by women-- this time the story of a young woman is through the female lens, unlike Otto Preminger's version. A must see for 2025 Producer Katie Nolan of @Babe Nation Films explained how all the moms had nannie’s on set - including star Chloe Sévign-- and kids could join for lunch. When women run things. things run differently. Another bonus: the fabulous Words of Mouth sold their creative ware- candles, jewelry and art using power words such as GRIT, RIOT,VAIN F*&k at the event. And it's all available through the TIFF shop. WOM is a project among friends photog/ director Caitlin Cronenberg brand geniuses Andrea Dart and Tabitha Vallierie. Theres a good story behind it. Toronto International Film Festival marketing lead Jennifer Frees met them at one of my lady biz dinners. Now WOM be sold at TIFFs chic shop. Another deal that happened from my lady biz dinner, Designer Angela DeMontigny developed a special product for TIFF--a candle that holds the essence of winter. Together we are growing the Female Domestic Product. Let's get more money into the hands of women--to make films that tell our stories and products that solve our problems. When women get together we can make things happen. Congratulations to Elevation Pictures Corp. Madison Espie and all the donors and creators of Share Her Journey.
