Every Canadian deserves a safe home. However, homeless youth make up approximately 20% of the homeless population in Canada. The #OrangeDoorProject campaign is one of The Home Depot Canada Foundation's initiatives to raise awareness about this issue. The #OrangeDoorProject campaign encourages our customers to make a difference in their local communities by donating and helping change the path for youth experiencing homelessness. The campaign runs in-store and online across Canada from November 12 to December 22. All 182 stores are joining forces to fight youth homelessness, and 100% of funds raised will support 127 local youth charities providing wrap-around support services (meals, housing, life skills, and mental health support) for at-risk and homeless youth in Canada.
