Do you know what to do in a medical emergency? Get Ready to save a life! The Gilbert Centre and Get Ready Online Inc have teamed up to equip our community with the skills necessary for people to become Willing Bystanders and to be able to act when faced with an emergency – at home, work or play! Individuals can save the Ready FIRST AIDE™ web application link to any computer or mobile device for quick and easy access during an emergency. Ready FIRST AIDE™ provides step-by-step instructions and over 60 short videos (1-2 minute) to assist bystanders when faced with an emergency such as an overdose, heart attack, or accidental injury. Respond with confidence! Get involved with our Train Your Community Campaign!

We're delighted to announce that -- in observance of International Harm Reduction Day (May 7) and Emergency Preparedness Week (May 5-11) -- we've partnered together to equip our community and yours with Ready First Aide™, and provide information and procedures necessary to support people to become Willing Bystanders when faced with a first aid or emergency situation - at home, work or play! Ready First Aide™, a web application link that provides step-by-step instructions and short videos to assist bystanders faced with an emergency such as an overdose, heart attack, or accidental injury, can be saved to any computer or mobile device for quick and easy access, empowering Willing Bystanders to respond with confidence! In alignment with our commitment to promoting harm reduction principles and community safety, we invite members of the media to join us for the launch event on Wednesday, April 24th at 6 pm at the Gilbert Centre located at 80 Bradford Street, Unit 525.
