Teck and UBC recently celebrated the inaugural recipients of the Don Lindsay Teck Award in Mining Engineering, an award established earlier this year in honour of Teck’s former President and CEO to support the next generation of mining engineers. We look forward to seeing these bright minds thrive and make their mark in the mining industry, and we are excited about the future collaborations and achievements that will stem from this award. https://lnkd.in/g65UpnN4

“When I joined Teck as a co-op student, I was really excited by the level of accountability and ownership I had within my role. That included taking on responsibility for our e-learning services, leading employee engagement initiatives, and being the main point of contact for internal teams and vendors. I also had the chance to develop a data analytics tool that will continue to benefit the team beyond my co-op term. When I started at Teck, I was pretty unfamiliar with the mining industry but there were ample resources and support that helped me move quickly through the learning curve, and the opportunity to learn about mining and its importance is something future interns can be excited about when thinking about joining Teck. Countless opportunities for professional development and fun as part the Student Experience Committee made my co-op experience at Teck unforgettable.” Saren, Talent Management Co-op, Vancouver Head Office Explore Winter 2025 Co-op job postings.
