Unlocking Leadership Excellence: Techo-Bloc's "Lead to Succeed" In the business world, strong leadership is essential. Techo-Bloc recognizes this and has made a significant investment this year by introducing our in-house leadership program, "Lead to Succeed," led and created by our Chief Strategy Officer. This program is designed to cultivate a culture of effective leadership and foster a spirit of innovation. Over 70 leaders from various levels of our organization participated in these courses. Through personality assessments, 360-degree feedback, and personalized coaching, they gained valuable insights into themselves. They also engaged in group sessions with fellow leaders to discuss challenges and brainstorm solutions. These sessions covered critical topics like self-management, team building, influence, negotiation, and problem-solving. At Techo-Bloc, we believe that leadership development is an investment in both individuals and the collective success of our organization. Whose job is it to develop strategies? 🤔   USUALLY, it's our directors that SET the strategies. 💡 They know the corporate goals, the pain points, the big picture, and work closely with other department heads to set the strategies.    But this year, we decided to shake things up in marketing⚡:  We handed that responsibility over to the whole team, building strategies from the ground up instead of top-down.    We created mandates around some tough business problems and industry pain points.    We turned it into a competition: the Paving Innovation Summit.   Here's what we learned: New Collaborations: Staff from various teams within marketing got to know and work with people they don't usually collaborate with. Hidden Talents: We found great speakers, sales skills, and strategic thinkers we can now nurture and grow. Areas to Improve: We also identified weaknesses and areas to develop. Fresh Perspectives: More people involved in strategy brought new insights. Competitive Spirit: It confirmed that Techo-Bloc folks are fiercely competitive and passionate, eager to win and help others succeed. Practical Skills: Team members learned about strategy, presentation, budgeting, and more. Tough Feedback: The judges asked hard questions, revealing that strategy development is complex and often requires adjustments based on new information. In conclusion, we loved it! We gained great ideas to implement in the coming months, and our relationships and confidence grew stronger. It was a lot of work, but the outcome was worth it.
