  • SVP ED - Rose Greensides Grateful for the opportunity to join the Loran Scholars Foundation alumni event in Toronto this past weekend! It was an inspiring conversation with leaders and change makers about the future of social impact. I had the pleasure of speaking alongside Abhilash Mishra as we explored how traditional funding models in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors often fall short of addressing today’s complex societal challenges. We dove into the need for innovative approaches like impact investing and creative institutions that blend philanthropic efforts with venture capital to drive meaningful change. A huge thank you to Meghan Moore, Heather Holland, and the entire Loran community for the invitation and to all the passionate alumni working to create brighter futures in their communities. The 2025 Loran Scholar application is now open for students beginning their post-secondary journey in September 2025! If you or someone you know is looking for a transformative scholarship opportunity that emphasizes leadership, character, and community service, be sure to explore more details at Loran Scholars Foundation #SocialImpact #ImpactInvesting #Innovation"

  • 🧡 Today, we honor National Day for Truth and Reconciliation—a time to reflect on the painful history of Indigenous peoples in Canada and to acknowledge the lasting impact of residential schools. This day serves as a reminder of the resilience and strength of Indigenous communities, and the importance of listening to their stories. Let us commit to learning, understanding, and supporting the journey toward healing and reconciliation. Together, we can foster a future rooted in respect, empathy, and unity. Let’s take a moment to remember, reflect, and act. #NationalDayOfTruthAndReconciliation #UnityThroughReflection #TruthAndReconciliation #IndigenousSolidarity #JusticeTogether #SocialVenturePartners
