With the year coming to a close, let’s take a moment to reflect on what we accomplished in 2024. From introducing new initiatives like "Get Psyched!" to record setting attendance at Hearts and Hands, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, and expanding existing events such as Support Services Appreciation Day, we’re dedicated to providing you the resources you need to create safer workplaces. Happy holidays from the SafeCare BC team, see you in the New Year!

Thank you for taking the time to help educate and inform our members on best practices with return to work programs.
Earlier this month Community Therapists Inc. OTs Adalia Jetha and Brittany Langeris delivered a Webinar for SafeCare BC members outlining the role of OT in Mental Health & Return to Work. In this informative session, participants learned about the best practices undertaken by all stakeholders in the return work process, the unique scope of OT practice which includes physical, cognitive and mental health challenges as well as specific strategies to enhance disability prevention in healthcare facility workplaces. Many thanks to SafeCare BC and the over 80 attendees that joined us to learn more about how to better facilitate Return to Work and Stay at Work programs for workers with mental health conditions. If you are a health facility employer interested in learning more about our workplace health services including Disability Management, Occupational Therapy, Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention and Onsite Rehabilitation for employees and residents, please reach out to our Managing Director Salim Janmohamed. If your facility is not already a member of SafeCareBC, check out all of their wonderful resources and initiatives at safecarebc.ca Happy Holidays!
