The Rink @ City Square officially opens today! Come down and skate right in Victoria Park.  Our Warming Chalet will be open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm , where you can lace up your skates, and borrow skates for free!  For this first weekend we will also have free hot chocolate available to drink on site.  We will see you here!

We are excited to announce that The Rink @ City Square will be opening soon! Starting on December 27th, the Warming Chalet, located in Victoria Park will be open to borrow, and lace up your skates! Skates of a variety of sizes are available to borrow for free!  Here are the operating hours of the Warming Chalet for the holiday season: December 27th to January 5th the Rink will be open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm daily. Regular Rink Hours will begin on January 6th: Weekdays: 11:30am – 1:30pm; 5:00pm – 8:00pm Weekends and holidays – Noon – 8:00pm We will see you there! #reginadowntown #whereitsat

Happy Holidays from the Regina Downtown Clean Team! In 2024, your downtown Regina Clean Team has collected over 9700 pounds of litter, removed 623 tags of graffiti and 169 stickers.  In addition to that, they also removed 1500 pounds of dirt from the edges of buildings and gutters of downtown and wash over 5000 feet of sidewalk. We want to thank the Clean Team for all of the work they have done this year! The Clean Team is taking a well-deserved vacation and will be off From December 22, 2024 until January 4, 2025. The Clean Team is committed to having the cleanest neighbourhood in Regina. To keep up with the commitment, starting January 5, 2025, they will be operating seven days a week. #reginadowntown #whereitsat

We are hiring! Join our Rink @ City Square team this winter! The Rink @ City Square provides an opportunity to create outdoor recreational space as part of our unique neighborhood. The City of Regina provides the rink installation and maintenance. Regina Downtown provides the Warming Chalet, staffing, programming and marketing. The rink requires three different shifts to operate. Hired staff will be responsible for managing the on-site Warming Chalet and watching over the rink. Shifts include weekdays over the lunch hour (11:30 am – 1:30 pm) and evenings (5:00 pm – 8:00 pm), weekends and holidays from 11:30 am – 8:30 pm. Employees will work in teams of two to three people. Special events, such as theme nights, Family Day skates, Frost, etc., may require all staff to work dependent upon responsibilities and may require different hours. From now until December 19th, come try out a variety of Festive Beverages at participating downtown coffee shops!  Two of the coffee shops that are participating are The Green Spot Café and Fresh & Sweet! This holiday season, The Green Spot Café is featuring a variety of holiday drinks including their Eggnog Latte (pictured), Café after Eight, and Café Christmas! Visit Fresh & Sweet to try their Candy Cane S’mores Mocha (pictured), or their White Chocolate Fog or Gingerbread Latte !  At each coffee shop you can pick up a festive beverage punch card. Each festive beverage you order gets you one punch! Collect 4 or 6 punches to be entered into our draw for a Festive Beverage prize, which includes a Regina Downtown Gift Card!
