The chocolate everybody loves. 🍫 Today, I wan to highlight the work of a brand that I truly admire. Earlier this week, Lindt & Sprüngli made their entry in Victoria, British Columbia with a stunning store. More importantly though, I want to use this opening as a case study to showcase exactly what makes Lindt so damn good at retail design. Before jumping into the subject though, I want to congratulate Melissa Yuen and team for this opening. Wishing you lots of success. 👉 Now, let's dissect why I believe Lindt is excellent at retail design: 1. Efficiency Their store layout is as efficient as it gets. From the chocolate self serve 'bar' taking center stage to the wall shelves, every product type is merchandised in the best environment possible to perform. Let's be honest... we always leave with bag full of our favorite chocolates. The store layout is also optimal to avoid any merchandising dead spots in the space. To that point... The store is always the right size for the brand. Never too big nor too small. Customers have plenty of space to browse around the bar (very important) and you don't ever feel crowded. That's a key element especially around holiday times when the store is FULL of customers. Customers attract customers but when the store feels too full, it can have the opposite effect. 2. Consistency The retail store experience at Lindt is almost identical wherever you are in the world. And that's no easy feat. Customers can always find the same familiar elements from the chocolate bar to the seasonal products presented on the front display. And the smell right? Always that Lindt chocolaty smell lingering in the back. I also want to highlight how every Lindt store make efficient usage of its windows. They always make them relatively large and free of distraction to allow plenty of visibility into the store. Purpose? Temptation, temptation... you want to attract people in with your core product offering: the chocolate self serve bar. From Oslo to Victoria, Lindt is the definition of consistency and efficiency when it comes to retail. Bravo. 👏 ⁉ Have you ever visited a Lindt store? We are proud to share that our Charity Council organized a team volunteer event at St. Andrew’s Church for the Out of the Cold Program.   Together, our team served over 250 meals to individuals in need.
