New year, new January, new January programming! Do you want to stand out from from other restaurants and bars in your area? Change how you think about your January 2025 holiday programming. Several holidays are set against every date on the calendar, and this month is no exception. These holidays range from mainstream to esoteric. To provide a handful of examples, January boasts celebrations of birds, tempura, a French comfort dish, and gift cards. Those are all things you can get creative and program around, and celebrate with your guests. It’s also Dry January, which is embraced by a vast array of people: non-drinkers, the “sober curious,” the newish “zebra stripe” consumers, the health conscious… Whatever their motivation, these guests still need an amazing experience at your bar or restaurant. And you may recall that Whistlepig launched Dank January last year, releasing the limited-edition Dank & Dry Old Fashioned Cocktail. This was a non-alcoholic bottled cocktail made with rye “non-whiskey,” and enhanced with non-psychoactive terpenes. If you visit their site, they may have something planned for 2025. Cheers to a new year! #bar #restaurant #hotel #marketing #branding #promotions

The second of three real-life hospitality scenarios discussed on the new Bar Hacks: ReFire podcast deals with onboarding. More explicitly, KRG partner David Klemt, along with cohost Bradley Knebel, client services director at Empowered Hospitality, look at a situation involving onboarding, training, leadership, culture, and potential imposter syndrome. Our goal with every episode of ReFire is for listeners to gain valuable insights into bar, restaurant, and hotel operations. As a podcast, the show sounds better than it reads, but here's the transcript of the second situation discussed on the first episode of ReFire. Cheers! #podcast #hospitality #BarHacks #ReFire #KRGHospitality

On the second episode of Bar Hacks: ReFire, host David Klemt (KRG Hospitality) and co-host Bradley Knebel (Empowered Hospitality) chat about three real-world restaurant and bar situations. First, a restaurant with an IG page and website that are a bit...off. This leads to a discussion about social commentary, F&B influencer culture, influencer marketing, and more. Then, a situation involving restaurant reservations, deposits vs. fees, and the black market sale of restaurant reservations. This inspires a conversation about guest perception of value and brand. Finally, an operator who takes a very public approach to banning two problematic guests, which leads to a talk about the proper handling of "firing" guests, guests vs. customers, and perception. Episode 8 just dropped and here’s a short clip! 🎤 In this episode of Hospitality Reinvented, we dive into a hard truth: most hotel food and beverage programs still aren’t delivering (I may use a more expletive term in the podcast). From watery eggs at breakfast buffets to uninspired, overpriced menus, too many properties are falling short of guest expectations. But here’s the good news—any hotel, whether it’s a roadside motel, economy hotel, or even a more luxury brand, can reinvent its F&B program to deliver incredible guest experiences. We explore why creativity and innovation are essential for hotel F&B programs and share actionable solutions that can set your property apart. Discover how to: ✔️ Build F&B experiences that resonate with your guests. ✔️ Incorporate hyper-local flavors and support regional producers. ✔️ Leverage technology to create frictionless room service. ✔️ Turn underutilized spaces into vibrant, profitable outdoor dining areas. Whether you’re managing an economy hotel or an upscale brand, this episode will equip you with the insights and strategies to transform your F&B program into a true competitive advantage. 🎧 Spotify Channel: https://lnkd.in/exU7RHkp 🎧 Apple Channel: https://lnkd.in/e6fPsQRj 🎧 Amazon Channel: https://lnkd.in/ecv4UDEK 🎬 Youtube Channel: https://lnkd.in/gDegtzBx #Hotels #Hospitality #FoodandBeverage #Culinary #Beverage #HotelIndustry #HospitalityReinvented KRG Hospitality Inc.
