Welcome to the Institute of Transportation Engineers' Southern Alberta (SA) section! We host many networking and professional development opportunities throughout the year centered around the topic of transportation planning and engineering. Typically, our monthly luncheons or webinars include speaker sessions followed by an opportunity for networking. The section also actively pursues several professional development courses and seminars to provide learning opportunities for the membership.

  • To all members of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) - Southern Alberta Section, other transportation professionals and Students: Year End Winter Gala Deadline to buy tickets is November 15, 5pm! We are pleased to announce the return of the ITE Southern Alberta Year-End Winter Gala taking place on November 20 at the Calgary Zoo! Join us for a magical night at the Grazers Restaurant for dinner, drinks and reminiscing over ITE Southern Alberta Section’s successful year. We are encouraging everyone to bring a friend or significant other to share the night with us. We will also be announcing the winners of ITE Southern Alberta 2024 awards! Date: November 20, 2024  Time: 5:00pm – 10:00pm Location: Grazers, 1300 Zoo Rd NE, Calgary, AB T2E 7V6 Registration: https://lnkd.in/gQXahmuf Gala Agenda: 5:00 - Doors open 6:00 - Dinner served 6:30 - 7:30 - Speeches and awards. 10:00 - Event ends We are looking for sponsors for the event.     ITE Southern Alberta Awards Nominations Announcement  Awards Nominations: Once again, we are pleased to announce the re-introduction of an annual awards program for ITE Southern Alberta. The purpose of this program is to recognize projects, professionals, and volunteers in the southern Alberta community that are contributing in meaningful ways to our transportation community. We have intentionally designed these awards to match nomination processes at the national and international level for ITE to elevate recognition for the outstanding transportation planning and engineering work.   This year, we are soliciting nominations for three awards with details on nomination requirements and evaluation criteria included in the corresponding attachments: - Project of the Year Award - Emerging Professional Award - Volunteer of the Year Award  Awards will be announced and presented at our End of Year Gala being held at the Calgary Zoo on November 20. Nominations must be received by 11:59 PM on September 30, 2024 to be considered for this year’s awards program.
