    Hiring the Right People: Look for the Green Lights 🚦 Building a strong team is about more than just qualifications - it’s about finding people who truly fit your organization. Here’s what I keep in mind when making hiring decisions: 1) Authenticity matters You want someone who feels comfortable being themselves during the interview: If the conversation feels organic and genuine, it’s a green light. ✅ If it feels like they’re putting on an act, that’s a red light. 🚩 2) Let the conversation flow Don’t marry to the idea of following a rigid script during every interview: When the interaction flows naturally and smoothly, that’s a positive indicator. ✅ If it’s stiff or awkward, it might be time to reassess. 🚩 3) Understand the person you are interviewing It’s equally important for an employer to understand a candidate as it is a candidate understanding the employer and role: The candidate knowing what they want and what is important to them, and being adamant about it, is a good sign. ✅ If the candidate seems indifferent and is not consistent with their presentation and answers, it’s a red flag. 🚩 4) Be honest and transparent Be frank, friendly, and firm about the company, the role and the requirements. Be fully transparent and honest, less than that would be a disservice to both parties - this will likely backfire down the road. Hiring isn’t just about filling a role; it’s a matchmaking process.
