That’s a wrap of the International Research Symposium (IRS) in Amsterdam hosted by International Property Tax Institute (IPTI) and International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). We had a great line up of very knowledgeable speakers and great representation from around the world for both attendees and speakers. #Amsterdam #valuation #innovation #AI
The International Reasearch Symposium (IRS) organized jointly by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and the International Property Tax Institute (IPTI) got off to a great start this morning in Amsterdam. The opening session featured a Keynote Address by Dr. Marc Franke from the University of Amsterdam. Dr. Franke’s presentation, titled "Different Applications of AVMs," explored the diverse ways in which Automated Valuation Models (AVMs) are currently being utilized, with a particular focus on their role in property tax valuations. The session sparked a lively discussion, with an engaged audience posing insightful questions and diving deeper into the practical implications of Dr. Franke's research. This strong start sets the tone for what promises to be an enriching and thought-provoking event. We look forward to continuing the dialogue on innovative approaches and best practices in property valuation and taxation throughout the symposium. #Valuation #Innovation
