This summer, three young students set out to build a Shopify app that would let people shop online together. At the time, Liam Fuller, Matiss Jurevics, and Keith Salhani had no idea how big their idea would get.
CartShare was meant to be a 6-week project as part of the Patch accelerator program, but the momentum the three co-founders have seen has been growing for months.
Originally, the team wasn’t sure if they would be able to build their app within the 6-week timeframe…
Until they moved to Gadget.
In just a few days, they had a working MVP, they were booking calls with potential customers, getting noticed by Shopify's CEO — and it didn’t cost a thing to build.
“When we first booted up Gadget, it had everything. On install, everything is just there. You can generate API endpoints and it's just easy. It even handled compliance webhooks for us, something we were worrying about when we looked at submitting to the app store."
