"Gadget, build me a Shopify app that lets me create a product recommendation quiz that I can show on my store" OAuth to Shopify connects to APIs, fetches product data, and provides a UI (embedded in Shopify) to create a quiz and map answers to product recommendations— in <5 min.

  • The Codup team used to spend months on client projects. Their development team was bogged down by repetitive tasks like Shopify OAuth and infrastructure maintenance, which limited their ability to take on new projects. Then they switched to Gadget. Building on a full-stack platform means they were able to eliminate complex setup processes and standardize their development stack — so they can build and launch 3x faster. Clients are happier than ever, and they've even found time to expand into public Shopify apps. Get the full story on how they did it. Link in the comments.

We're days away from BFCM, and sales are ramping up fast. For many agencies and app developers, this is the most stressful time of the year. So we're here to say: If your Shopify app runs on Gadget, we've got you covered. Over the last few weeks, our infrastructure team has been hard at work making changes to optimize performance across thousands of apps. We want you to feel like you can sit back and enjoy the weekend — and get in on some of those sales. Whether you're a public app developer, an agency supporting clients during major traffic spikes, or a merchant trying to keep every customer happy, this weekend is about you. Let's go. https://lnkd.in/ec7it7c6

This summer, three young students set out to build a Shopify app that would let people shop online together. At the time, Liam Fuller, Matiss Jurevics, and Keith Salhani had no idea how big their idea would get. CartShare was meant to be a 6-week project as part of the Patch accelerator program, but the momentum the three co-founders have seen has been growing for months. Originally, the team wasn’t sure if they would be able to build their app within the 6-week timeframe… Until they moved to Gadget. In just a few days, they had a working MVP, they were booking calls with potential customers, getting noticed by Shopify's CEO — and it didn’t cost a thing to build. “When we first booted up Gadget, it had everything. On install, everything is just there. You can generate API endpoints and it's just easy. It even handled compliance webhooks for us, something we were worrying about when we looked at submitting to the app store." Full story in the comments 👇
