Team Fitzrovia is proud to participate in the annual Hold'em For Life Charity Challenge. This year, an incredible $3.48 million was raised to support cancer research. In yesterday’s STOREYS article by Erin Nicole Davis, Fitzrovia was highlighted for “Redefining the Tenant Experience.” The article outlines the benefits of purpose-built rental living for the end user. As stated in the article: “Fitzrovia’s portfolio of urban purpose-built rental projects include everything from basketball courts designed in partnership with the Toronto Raptors, resort-style rooftop pools, cafés and bars, to access to virtual healthcare from The Cleveland Clinic Canada and even a preschool and kindergarten. In addition to these lifestyle perks, tenants can rest assured that they won’t lose their unit because a landlord wants to sell or move a family member in.” The article also underscores a critical housing shortage in new construction. Our Founder and CEO, Adrian Rocca, highlights that current construction levels are far below what’s needed to meet demand. The situation is expected to worsen after 2025, as new housing starts are projected to significantly decline, causing the supply of new units to drop off. Proposed solutions include waiving development charges and property taxes for a set period to help stimulate supply.
