    Wish you had better outcomes to show for all of your culture building efforts? 💡 Start with this simple idea: 📐 Better planning. Better planning will give the people spearheading your culture-building efforts the stability and order that they need in order to really start thinking big, and differently, and coming up with new and better culture programs that hit different and engage employees more deeply. Any CEO, CPO, or culture leader would want to nurture this approach to culture building. 🤓 You already know lots of ways to plan better. And insisting on better planning won't make your culture programs feel contrived and inauthentic. (A big fear.)     Who’s in charge of culture at your company? That person needs to see this. Because odds are very high that your culture program needs more of these six things… ☀️ 1. More Clarity Leaders need to move conversations about culture into strategies and programs that can be executed. Because people can’t engage or contribute to ideas that stay ambiguous. 🎯 2. More Impact A lot of activity intended to shape culture has no real impact. Simply asking, “What do we expect this initiative to achieve?” can steer you toward projects with higher payoffs.  📝 3. More Planning Even the most exciting one-off efforts to shape culture will lose steam and fail to sustain buy-in without a plan you can publish, explain, and share. 💡 4. More Creativity Giving out branded water bottles and calling it ‘culture’ is just plain lazy. Thinking creatively about how to make culture initiatives fun and useful for employees is what gets results. 📐 5. More Measurement What will you measure? Reduction in turnover? Productivity gains? Employee engagement? Reduction in absenteeism? Define target metrics that make sense for your business model and go achieve them! 🚀 6. More Ambition Culture can be scaled when you double down on results. Look for barriers to scale early, so that the value of your culture investment can grow unimpeded once you identify the programs that are working well.
