#DYK that the annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd was proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly? According to the United Nations this day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. With this in mind, we encourage you to check out our “Co-operatives Serving Persons With Disabilities” report, which was created in collaboration with Community Researchers. It provides an overview of co-operatives serving persons with disabilities or led by persons with disabilities in Canada (not including home care). 📢 To all delegates attending the ICA Global Conference on Monday 25 November: important information!📢 We are thrilled that the first day of the ICA Global Cooperative Conference is here, and honoured that so many of you have travelled to New Delhi to Witness the launch of the 2025 #CoopsYear! Please don't forget... 🚌 Shuttle buses will run between local hotels listed and Bharat Mandapam on a loop between 07:45 until after dinner (Last shuttle: 22:00). 🛂 Bring your passport and conference badge* to the venue for security checks today - this is super important, you won't be allowed in without them. 👜 No bags or laptops will be allowed into the venue today! (You can bring them on other days) ⛔ Doors to the venue will close at 13:00 for security reasons - make sure you get there on time! Entry is through Gate 9. Please share this important information with others in your delegation. We can't wait to see you at Bharat Mandapam and together launch #ICANewDelhi2024 and the #IYC2025! *A note on badges. All pre-registered international delegates will have their badges delivered to them at their designated hotels by 07.30 on 25 November. If you don't find your badges at your hotel, please visit the Royal Plaza Hotel on 25 November before 11:00 to pick them up from the ICA desk in the lobby. There will be a tiny window at gate number 7 at the venue between 11:15 - 12.15 to collect badges. We recommend avoiding this last option as we are expecting high-security measures and long queues.
