4 and a half months ago I posted a 1-year birthday post for ClearPath Senior Living Inc., and mentioned in it that most small businesses don’t make it past their first year.
Back then, 4 and a half months ago, we had one ongoing management contract, with Ashley Oaks Retirement Residence, and we were a bit worried about our future. One client can’t support a company of 3.5 people.
Two short consulting gigs helped with cashflow, but didn't turn into long-term work. We had a few leads in the pipeline, but nothing firm, and so we weren't *very* worried, but still, we worried.
Well, here we are, 4 and a half months later, and we have 3 clients with ongoing management contracts, and an additional short-term contract with a 4th client.
We are not worried anymore!
In fact, it got a bit busy, and we got ourselves some additional part time help from our old friend Andrea Peckham.
I can't say often enough how much I appreciate the support of my community, people who reach out to ask how things are going, people who refer leads to us, people who cheer us along. Thank you!
And I also greatly appreciate the faith that Elisabete Garcia-Refai had in our little company, and its potential. Happy 1 year work anniversary to her!
And btw, we are still on the hunt for an ED for the new Living Water Retirement Residence coming to Collingwood soon! Please refer your ED friends :)
