An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange (CCTX) is a private-sector initiative that supports the sharing and analytics of cyber threat information across sectors and with other sharing hubs, to help protect Canadian businesses, government and consumers, and strengthen Canada's economic prosperity. SHARED INFORMATION MAKES US STRONGER The CCTX’s mission is to share and analyze cyber threat information across sectors and with other sharing hubs to help protect Canada’s businesses, government, consumers and economic prosperity. Companies and government agencies leverage shared information and generate new analysis to make cyber attacks more difficult and costly—and to increase the likelihood that attackers will be apprehended. Cyber attackers are no longer limited to traditional entry points like employee mobile devices and laptops. They are now attacking companies through every entity that interacts with their business systems, including customers, the supply chain and providers of business services. Vulnerabilities are also being introduced as companies extend beyond their core businesses—for example, utilities and network companies selling through retail outlets or retailers offering financial services—using entirely new systems and processes. On its own, no sector, no business or organization is safe from cyber attack. The best way to counter attacks is by sharing information and resources as widely as possible. THAT’S WHY WE NEED YOU AND YOU NEED US. For more information, please contact us at info@cctx.ca or 613-747-2283.

We value the opportunity to collaborate with other organizations in an effort to strengthen Canada's cybersecurity landscape. Bob Gordon, our Strategic Director participates on the Canadian Chamber of Commerce's "Cyber. Right. Now. Council" which is committed to engaging with government to shape new strategies and legislation that will help enhance the global competitiveness of Canadian cybersecurity. Check out this recap to learn what the Council is working on. #CanadianCybersecurity #cybersecurity #legislation
The consequences of cyberthreats extend far beyond the individuals or organizations directly targeted — they also pose significant, wide-ranging risks to Canada's economy, national security, and broader society, creating a ripple effect that touches every aspect of our interconnected systems. Last month, our Cyber. Right. Now. Council held its second in-person series of high-level meetings with senior government officials, focusing on Canada’s cybersecurity landscape. Discussions covered critical topics, including the state of cybersecurity, cybercrime, cyber resilience, and cybersecurity legislation. The dialogue underscored the essential role cybersecurity plays in safeguarding Canada’s economy, infrastructure, and society. Held at our Ottawa office and on Parliament Hill, these sessions brought together key stakeholders from the Communications Security Establishment Canada, the Canadian Centre for Cybersecurity, Public Safety Canada, the RCMP’s National Cybercrime Coordination Centre, and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. Our latest recap blog dives into the highlights from these important conversations. https://hubs.ly/Q02_DP__0

A quick reminder about this excellent session we are hosting TODAY! Hope to see you there! 🔒CCTX Webinar: Eliminating AI Driven Attacks🔒 Bad actors are using AI to ramp up their game, and the only way to stay ahead of them is to remove the attack surfaces they use to get into systems. Join us for a talk with Colin Constable, CTO and Co-Founder of Atsign, to discover how applying a novel, privacy-focused, and open-source networking project that implements zero trust at the application level can provide the next generation of security without the pain of complex network-level configurations. We’ll look at some real-world examples of secure and authenticated access to cloud or IoT resources and show how those resources are invisible to any human or AI scanning the network. 🗓️Date: Thursday, November 21, 2024 ⏲️Time: 1:00 PM EST Colin Constable is the CTO and co-founder of Atsign, a company building a new Internet system based on Networking 2.0 and the new atProtocol. He is a technologist with 40 years of experience in the telecommunications and internet industries. He has an extensive career spanning British Telecom, a CTO role at Credit Suisse Bank, strategy work at Juniper Networks in Silicon Valley, and co-founding Deutsche Bank Labs.
