  • It is unfortunate but it seemingly will always be true, a deal that is too good to be true ....

And it begins.... I Received a call from a homeowner last week who had a door knocker come by his home and the Rep said that he was willing to " help him " with the insurance claim deductible, apparently also said that " We can get the work done right away. " This is what the homeowner sent to me for review. ( Photos from others ) There is so much wrong that nothing about this is right. I will always encourage people to do their homework but sometimes you do not know where to look. August 5th the face of our city took a big solid heavyweight punch to the face in the NW and the NE quadrants. I posted my truck damage while en route to assist folks that had their skylights blown clean out and shattered in their home. Yes it's terrifying,Yes it's scary and yes it brings out the best and unfortunately the worst in our city all at the same time. Sadly this home will need the brand new roof removed and replaced again. Do Your Homework !!!! Talk to the Roofing Associations please, before you end up just as bad off as you were or worse. There is a ton of great information on the websites of the Roofing Associations and a ton of technical data that is invaluable. Ask your contractor to provide photos of work in progress. " The Bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. " (Benjamin Franklin )

    • Eaves left with all kinds of debris from the project, asphalt pieces.
    • Wavy Bumpy Lumpy and so much more wrong with the valleys, Roofing associations do not allow
    • Old sealant just hanging around. first sign of rain there will be a leak in the area
    • So when you get your Xactimate report from your insurance company ( fancy word for a break down of damages and costs report ) you should see a line item for ice and snow membrane as per code, there is a minimum standard requirement that is missing here. and it appears the actual starter shingles are upside down 😣
