Caivan is committed to scaling up manufactured housing to help restore affordability for Canadian homebuyers. Thanks to CIBC for highlighting how Canada has an opportunity to become a world leader in manufactured housing.
Manufactured housing is a vital, scalable piece of the housing shortage solution. In their recent piece, Tim Samis, CPA, CBV, and Elsa Hannaford from CIBC's Commercial Banking team explore why manufactured housing is an important piece of that puzzle. https://lnkd.in/eEYjr2nU

Caivan is the country’s largest producer of manufactured housing. Co-CEO Frank Cairo recently spoke to Real Estate News Exchange (RENX) about our plans to scale up the advanced manufacturing of housing in Canada: “The quality we can achieve here is surgical. The safety and quality of the work environment is a big factor for workers.”
Big housing solutions require bold action. Scale is needed across all Canadian business sectors for our nation to regain its strength as a leader in an increasingly competitive global landscape. Productivity will require continued effort and relentlessness determination. Canadian Prosperity is worth fighting for. https://lnkd.in/eYSqcZHH

We recently marked the topping off at our sold-out Saw Whet community in Oakville. Congratulations our partner Argo Development Corporation, our sales team RARE Real Estate Inc, our construction team, consultants, trade partners and suppliers for bringing this beautiful project to life.
Another week, another milestone in Oakville at Caivan Communities. Last week, our GTA homebuilding team celebrated the roof topping-off at our sold-out mid-rise, The Saw Whet, a six-storey, 333-suite condo at Bronte Road and Saw Whet Boulevard. Congratulations to the Caivan team and our partner Argo Development Corporation, as well as our construction manager VanMar Constructors ON Inc., our highly detailed consultant team, the Town of Oakville, Halton Region and, of course, our trade partners and suppliers for their exceptional production and quality. Special thanks to our sales team RARE Real Estate Inc for selling out this stunning project in less than two months after we went to market. Caivan’s footprint in GTA and throughout Ontario is continuing to expand and I couldn’t be prouder of this team.

We’re thrilled to announce that Caivan is partnering with the University of Waterloo to launch The Future Cities Institute with a transformational $10 million donation. The Institute will bring Waterloo’s considerable applied science and software engineering expertise together with industry and government partners to solve the complex challenges facing cities.
When Troy van Haastrecht and I founded Caivan, we did so with a commitment to drive innovation, building better places. Along the way, with each of the challenges we have faced, we have learned, adapted and refined a scientific framework for problem solving. We want to share some of these tools and techniques to tackle some of the big hairy problems humans will face in the coming years. For this reason, we are proud to be partnering with the University of Waterloo in the launch the Future Cities Institute with a $10 million donation. The FCI is an hub where academics, industry and a variety of stakeholders will turn our minds to root cause understanding and solutions through the lens of science and engineering. We will develop new tools never before seen in city building, land-use planning, urban engineering, and the optimization of built environments. The status quo isn’t working. We need to work hard and decisively to ensure a prosperous future in cities for all. Thank you to Vivek Goel, Mary Wells , Bruce Frayne and UW for your partnership. Your bold vision for Waterloo at 100 has the capacity to make the world a better place.
