"The most valuable lesson I have learned in my career is: “Let your word be your bond.” This principle highlights the importance of integrity and reliability in all that I do. In construction, where numerous moving parts and stakeholders are involved, trust is paramount. When I commit to something—be it meeting a deadline, delivering accurate estimates, or maintaining clear communication with teams and clients—I ensure I follow through. Consistency in keeping my word builds respect and fosters long-term relationships, which are vital in our industry. Upholding this standard not only strengthens my personal reputation but also contributes to the success of the projects and the organization I am proud to be a part of." ❓ What are your favorite hobbies or interests outside of work? "My favorite hobbies include woodworking and building small projects, which allow me to use my hands and creativity in a different way than I do in my professional life. I am also an avid F1 racing fan and NFL enthusiast. For me, it’s not just about how fast the cars can go, but the team strategies behind the race. We had a wonderful time at our end-of-year lunch, celebrating the holiday season together as a team! It was a fantastic opportunity to relax, enjoy good food, and share joyful moments with one another. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made the made the time so special. The Hanover Conversion Project is progressing steadily, with coring complete up to the 25th floor and only the 3rd floor remaining.   For mechanical work, risers and rough-ins are ongoing up to the 20th floor, and tub installations have been completed up to the 23rd floor. Electrical suite feeds are finished on the 17th floor, while public and fire alarm wiring has been pulled on the 10th floor and is ongoing. Inspections have successfully passed up to the 15th floor.   Drywall and framing are also progressing. Interior unit framing is ongoing up to the 25th floor, and ceiling installations are underway on the 17th floor.   As the project progresses, we are excited to see the transformation of this building into 314 residential units. #ConstructionManagement #ConstructionIndustry #CityOfCalgary #Conversion

The Harmony project, a 100-unit development in Edmonton, is making progress toward completion. The roofing is fully finished, vinyl decking installation is nearly complete, and balcony doors are being installed on the 3rd and 4th floors. Progress continues across our Canmore projects, bringing us closer to completing these beautifully designed buildings that complement the area's charm.   For the Ascent project, window installation has been finished, and siding work is nearing completion. Asphalt has just been poured for the access roads and parking areas. Kitchen cabinet installations and tiling are ongoing, and painters are making steady progress.   At Cascade, fourth-floor framing is progressing, timber beams and columns are being installed from level 1 to level 2, and patio slab pours are scheduled for this week. I think that one of the things that sets us apart is that we are taking advantage of every project as a learning opportunity for how we want to do business. The team is working hard to grow our reputation in the office-to-residential conversion space, and the next few years are going to be exciting ones as the business continues to evolve into new areas and new markets across Canada.   ❓ What drives you to excel in your professional (and/or personal) life?   I was raised by a family of hard workers who set an early example for me. A strong work ethic forms a major part of my own core values. In addition to that, I am committed to continuous learning and to sharing my knowledge and experiences with others on the team. I take great pride in the work that I do, and in turn, I get a great sense of accomplishment out of it.    ❓ What is the most valuable lesson you have learned in your career?   In Human Resources and in Payroll the work is often employee facing. Each day I am privileged to interact with any number of the employees on the team. One of the first things that I learned was how important it is to know who the people are, and to take advantage of every opportunity to get to know a little more about them. I want everyone in the organization to feel comfortable reaching out to me if they have questions/concerns because I know how important one’s pay and benefits are to the overall employee experience. Knowing the individuals on the team and having a good working rapport with them is one of the most important things you can do to be successful in this line of work.   ❓ What are your favourite hobbies/interests that you enjoy outside of work?   Outside of work, I am fortunate to be surrounded by people who make sure I squeeze as much joy out of life as possible! My husband and I do a fair amount of hiking and travelling and when I’m home I really enjoy cooking and hosting dinner parties for friends. These last few years have seen my family really grow in numbers with the addition of seven (!) nieces and nephews, so I take every chance I get to spend time with them too. #ConstructionIndustry #EmployeeFeature #MeetTheTeam #ConstructionManagement #HRProfessionals
