Today is the third annual Ribbon Skirt Day in Canada. This is a day to honour and celebrate the resilience of Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people. Ribbon skirts symbolize identity, culture, and a sacred connection to Mother Earth. Honoring this is an important part of our commitment to creating spaces that respect Indigenous communities, and foster belonging. #NationalRibbonSkirtDay

Each day, families light candles to represent the seven guiding principles of Nguzo Saba, focusing on unity, purpose, and growth. The celebration ends with Karamu Ya Imani, a feast of faith that brings loved ones together. Wishing everyone celebrating a happy Kwanzaa! #Kwanzaa #HabariGani
