⛰️ For #PublicTransit operators, replacing passenger vehicles powered by legacy fuels with cleaner, low-emission alternatives is crucial for the industry to reach ambitious #NetZero goals. 🚌 The transit market is leading the way as it looks to implement practical and sustainable decarbonized programs, with the options of #BatteryElectric or #FuelCellElectric regarded as the most feasible sources to power buses – but which is best? A new study from WSP presents the #ZeroEmission choice, and the pros and cons of battery or hydrogen power for public transit operation. Read on to learn more about the considerations that can help agencies find the right fit for their fleet. 👇

👏🚆 Congratulations to Siemens Mobility as their first #Hydrogen-powered train begins operation on public routes in Germany next week! 🟢💪 The Mireo Plus H integrates two 200kW FCwave™ #FuelCell modules and is #PoweredByBallard.
Get ready to get on board – our hydrogen trains start in regular operation! 🚝 On Germany’s timetable change on December 15th, our Mireo Plus H joins the fleets of Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) and Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn (NEB), making it the first hydrogen-powered train in Bavaria, Berlin and Brandenburg. After extensive preparation and test runs, #Mireo Plus H was approved for passenger operation by the Federal Railway Authority. On the routes from Augsburg to Füssen and Peißenberg as well as Berlin to Schmachtenhagen and Groß Schönebeck, the hydrogen trains will now replace diesel trains. It can travel up to 1,200 km on just a single tank of hydrogen. 🌎 Learn more about how we #TransformMobilityForEveryone with Mireo Plus H: https://sie.ag/26x1te

🚢 The latest milestone in the Flagships H2020 Project was completed on December 3, when France's first #Hydrogen-powered river vessel, Zulu 06, was launched on the river Seine! Marking another ground-breaking achievement for sustainable, #ZeroEmission transport, the 55-meter Zulu 06 is #PoweredByBallard, integrating two FCwave™ #FuelCell engines totalling 200kW of power. The project represents a crucial stride forwards in cargo transport for European waterways, and demonstrates the potential #CleanEnergy has to revolutionize logistics. Ballard is one of 12 consortium partners who were on hand in Paris to witness Clean Hydrogen Partnership executive director, Valerie Bouillon-Delporte christen the vessel ahead of its maiden voyage 👏🍾
