The Canada Post mail stoppage created unexpected challenges for charitable organizations nationwide. Many rely heavily on year-end mail-in donations to fund their essential work, and delays in mail service have caused significant financial strain during this critical fundraising period.   To help charities recover, we urge the federal government to extend the 2024 charitable donation receipt eligibility period into the first quarter of 2025.
