ABC Mexico continues to move towards a greener future thanks to three plants in (Colón, Querétaro and Ramos Arizpe) which have made a significant leap towards sustainability by installing a total of 1,147 solar panels per plant to make a total of 3,441 solar panels. This initiative not only represents a commitment to the environment, but also a commitment to energy efficiency and long-term cost reduction.   Each of the installed solar panels has the capacity to generate 550 watts of electrical energy and because of that, the emission of 2,510 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year is avoided. This reduction in emissions is equivalent to planting 41,560 trees and represents a crucial step in the fight against climate change. Not only are we capturing light, but we are enlightening others about the EHS goals we have set and honoring our obligations as a member of the UN Global Compact to advocate for clean technologies. 

Earning trust, strengthening relationships and having a literal seat at the table is why ABC Technologies is Molding The Future of Canadian business and its role in the global automotive industry. ABC CEO Terry Campbell (group image, white shirt) once again joined Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and members of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA) for discussions on international trade, engagement and involvement so that invested stakeholders can see action and achievable success from companies leading the way. This past July, ABC was honored to host the DPM and her team at our Toronto office and manufacturing facility where she took time to personally meet our employees on the shop floor, learn more about them and listen to their questions. We are appreciative that she chose to include one such interaction in her post below.
