We are a startup whose idea was born in Nepal while enjoying morning coffee. That's when Binayak and Michał saw a majestic rhinoceros and shared a common ambition to transform the business environment and raise awareness among employees about environmental issues. This is how Green Rhino – the green rhinoceros was created. We started by examining the simplest process in offices – coffee. Coffee is an integral part of meetings, accompanies us at work, and during breaks ☕ Have you ever wondered where the coffee you drink every day in the office comes from? Do you know its variety? Production method? Do you know its impact on our environment? By choosing Green Rhino coffee in the B2B model, you can be sure that you are drinking responsibly 🌏 Our story begins on a plantation in Ilam, Nepal. ✔ In Ilam, we take care of the local community by conducting educational activities on plantation and natural fertilizer production. ✔ Every year, we distribute thousands of coffee seedlings to local farmers. ✔ All of our employees, including women, are fairly compensated so they don't have to migrate for work. ✔ Our plantation is located next to a river flowing from the Himalayas, which serves to irrigate the plantation. ✔ We do not use pesticides for coffee plant growth. Their use is prohibited throughout Nepal. The next step is transportation. We are honest, we cannot avoid the carbon footprint here. However, we compensate by conducting annual tree plantings in Nepal. For our coffee, we have chosen biodegradable packaging, although we are still looking for even better solutions. Our labels are taken care of by our colleagues from the startup Znika.pl and are made from grape waste. Coffee grounds are perfect for composting and processing. The startup environment always supports each other. With EcoBean, we will collect your office coffee waste and process it into pots or biofuel. You choose! We believe that what we do makes sense.
