On Oct 30th, 2024. Sagri signed a MoU with the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Pursat (PDAFF Pursat) for a pilot project to reduce GHG through Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) in paddy fields in Pursat Province, Cambodia. From Sagri, our Head of ASEAN Business Kazuki Sakamoto attended the signing ceremony. In this project, Sagri will introduce decarbonized farming methods represented by AWD to cooperating farmers while utilizing satellite data and AI. The project will also introduce AWD in accordance with the JCM credit methodology that has been drafted in the Philippines by MAFF Japan, and aims to establish a methodology in Cambodia for future JCM credits in collaboration with the Japanese and Cambodian governments. This project will be implemented in collaboration with a local university in Cambodia and PDAFF Pursat.

On November 4th, 2024, Sagri won the 1st prize at Southeast Asia Capital Access Program hosted by JETRO Singapore - Accelerate Innovation with Japan -and Japan Southeast Asia Innovation Platform (JSIP). At the event, four startups, including Sagri, that won the first round of the competition held in Kyoto, made pitches in front of foreign investors in Singapore. From Sagri, our ASEAN Business Head, Kazuki Sakamoto made the pitch, and the judges gave the award to Sagri as the winner.
