Ltd. and Rechi Precision Co., Ltd. announced Joint Venture to supply compressors, key components of HVAC products, to the Indian market. 🤝 The partnership combines Daikin's strong market presence in India with Rechi's manufacturing expertise to provide low-cost, high-quality compressors, ensuring a stable supply as demand grows. ⚙️In the initial phase, the joint venture will assemble Rechi’s rotary compressors for residential HVAC customers in India. Future plans include investing in a compressor factory to meet the rapidly increasing demand. 🎊 Two of the HVAC industry’s global leaders, Copeland and Daikin, have announced a joint venture 🤝 🌎 This agreement leverages Copeland’s market leadership, deep industry expertise, and robust technical support alongside Daikin’s proven inverter swing rotary compressor technology. Together, they will provide U.S. residential HVAC customers with the most efficient solutions tailored to meet specific application needs. This collaboration plays a pivotal role in accelerating the shift to energy-efficient heat pumps, meeting both environmental goals and regulatory requirements!! 🌱 In the initial phase, this agreement will focus on providing test samples of Daikin’s inverter swing rotary compressors to Copeland’s U.S. customers to facilitate swift adoption and evaluation. Its strengths are metal matrix composite materials, primarily aluminum-based, and metal joining technology. 💡 Through this ground-breaking collaboration, we aim to accelerate the acquisition of lightweight, high-strength materials technology for compressors, a key component in HVAC&R equipment. 🌏 COP29 Azerbaijan news! Today the seminar "Japan’s Efforts and Possible Contribution toward Building Decarbonization" was held by the Japanese government 🗾 Katsuyuki Sawai, Senior Executive Officer for Daikin took the stage!! Besides Daikin, Japanese companies, Taisei Corporation and LIXIL Corporation, explained their initiatives for contributing to the decarbonization of the building sector, and they explored the future action in depth in their discussions with Global ABC and other international organizations. 💡 Mr. Sawai from Daikin explained the big role heat pumps can play! Replacing fossil fuel boilers with heat pumps is an effective measure for reducing GHG emissions. Heat pumps are proven decarbonization technology and ready for immediate social implementation. 🌿 The COP29 Azerbaijan side event "Harmonizing Standards to Boost Energy Efficient Appliances and Decarbonization" was held today! 🌏 The event highlighted the benefits of harmonizing efficiency standards in climate action and showcased successful efforts at the regional level. This became an opportunity to accelerate action globally. Daikin’s Kana Suzuki Iwazawa participated as a panelist! She joined discussions with the International Energy Agency (IEA), IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), and other international organizations. ⭐ Comment from Kana Iwazawa "Energy efficiency is essential for reducing the environmental impact of air conditioners. 🏅 We are honored to announce that Mr. Isaka, a data scientist at Daikin, earned a gold medal in the competition on Kaggle and has been certified as a “Kaggle Master”! This achievement places him among the top 1% of competitors!! 🌏 Kaggle is the world's largest online data science competition platform, engaging over 20 million data scientists and AI engineers. We believe that his achievement is a testament to the global recognition of Daikin's data scientists' expertise and technical prowess. 🔥 Daikin's effort to strengthen data scientists: In 2017, Daikin launched the Daikin Information and Communications Technology College to bolster human resource development in DX. To date, 440 people including Mr. Isaka have graduated, supporting various DX initiatives like providing AI fault diagnosis and energy solutions using AC operation data, and creating healthy and comfortable indoor air quality environments. ✨ Exciting news! Daikin will be taking the stage at the COP29 Azerbaijan seminar on November 18th! COP29 Azerbaijan kicks off on November 11th. As part of the event, the Japanese government will host a seminar titled "Japan’s Efforts and Possible Contribution Toward Building Decarbonization" in the Japan Pavilion, Blue Zone 🗾 🏢 The building sector accounts for 37% of CO2 emissions and 34% of final energy consumption globally. "Buildings Breakthrough," a platform for transforming the sector of buildings and construction, was launched at COP28 to further demonstrate the global importance of decarbonization in this sector. 🍀 Katsuyuki Sawai, Senior Executive Officer for Daikin, will take the stage as a speaker and lecture on heat pump technology used in space and water heating and how heat pump can contribute to building decarbonization.
