It’s almost the end of the year, and many of us are taking well-deserved breaks for the holiday season. Unfortunately, emergencies, by definition, can happen at any time, meaning surgeons must always be ready to act. At Archelis Inc., we aim to ease some of that burden by reducing the fatigue surgeons feel after long hours at the operating table. #surgeon #medical #standingwork Video credit goes to MEDICA - see their 2024 in review videos here: https://lnkd.in/g5xPRact
概要
Our mission is to elevate the standard of your standing works. Our vision is to free humanity from the burden of standing posture by technology and design and to realize a society where people across the globe live healthily forever. We sell and rent “archelis”, an exoskeleton suit that enables leg-strain-free standing works. When "archelis" is attached to the legs, the weight of the wearer is dispersed and supported by shins and thighs, making long-hour standing works easier.

Last week Archelis exhibited at #MEDICA 2024, one of the biggest medical trade shows in the world. We’d like to extend our #thanks to MEDICA for putting on such a wonderful event. This year was our first with them, but it won’t be our last. Our thanks go as well to the people behind the #Tokyo Pavilion, who were an invaluable resource and without whom things would not have run so smoothly. We'd also extend our thanks to the Start Up Park, and the Dusseldorf Economic Development Team who welcomed us so warmly. Our final thanks go to all of those who stopped by our booth - from our current partners to our #future ones, and all those in between who tried out Archelis for themselves. It was a fantastic four days meeting so many great people. See you next time, MEDICA!

Worker retention is one of the biggest challenges facing the manufacturing industry right now. There are countless older workers who want to continue, but are forced into retirement due to physical demands of their job. Archelis can help reduce that physical strain, but letting standing workers sit while on the job - at no cost to efficiency. Proven to reduce muscle activity, Archelis is a viable solution to retaining skilled workers. Watch one worker at Tetsuhimaku Galvanising use Archelis. #japan #factory #retention #exoskeleton

The phrase “backbreaking work” is almost always used in a negative context - so why do we continue to push employees to their physical limits when we don’t have to? Even in jobs traditionally done on foot, there are ways to mitigate a worker’s fatigue and leave them with more energy for the next day. For example - our product Archelis. Archelis allows people to maintain an upright #standing posture, while taking the burden off their feet, letting them ‘sit’ while standing. It’s perfect for jobs which involve standing in one place for hours every day. Easy to put on and take off, doesn’t require electricity or batteries, and able to be worn while walking, the Archelis is a simple #solution to a huge problem. #japan #innovation #exoskeleton

Come see us at #MEDICA 2024! It’s now less than three weeks until the world’s largest event in the #medical sector. Archelis will of course be exhibiting our flagship #exoskeleton, but we will also have something new to show you, making its international debut in #Dusseldorf. Watch this space for more details. Come visit us in between November 11-14, Messe Dusseldorf, Hall 15 G38, to try out the Archelis for yourself!

A study conducted in the UK found that over 86% of surgeons surveyed reported musculoskeletal discomfort over the preceding 12 months. A further 86% of those doctors stated they believed this was related to their posture at work. Workplace injuries are one of the biggest contributors toward early retirement across all industries, and this is consistent within healthcare. Our doctors put their bodies and health on the line to provide life-saving care. We want to help those doctors, to try and reduce even a bit of the strain they feel at the end of a long day. By using Archelis, surgeons are able to perform operations as normal, but without the strain of standing for hours on end. Archelis is already helping extend the longevity of surgeons’ careers. Dr. Kenji Fukaya, Deputy Director of the Ayabe Renaiss Hospital Department of Neurosurgery, told us “If I didn’t have Archelis, I couldn’t continue to perform surgery”. #healthcare #exoskeleton #japan #surgeon Photo by Jonathan Borba on Unsplash
