Although usually in favor of strong winds, even the best laid plans didn’t stand a chance against typhoon Krathon on last week’s visit to Taiwan 🌪️ However, it was uplifting to see how the willingness to connect and collaborate, despite the logistical challenges, was demonstrated by the major players in the Taiwanese offshore industry by showing up in alternative networking forums, re-arranging their calendars and spending their weekend chatting about the ambitious goals ahead! As part of the Norwegian delegation, Vissim had the privilege of meeting some incredibly skilled people within the renewable sector to further understand the challenges and opportunities in Taiwan, and explore potential collaborations and partnerships to accelerate the joint efforts towards a more sustainable future 🌍 A special thanks to Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP), Eirik Ellingsen and with Ivy H. Liu at the helm, for guiding us through the week, and congratulations to MIRDC Taiwan and NORWEP on signing an MOU to solidify the growing partnership between the Norwegian and Taiwanese offshore wind industry!

Wrapping up last week at WindEurope 2024 Hamburg. It was fantastic to represent Vissim AS at our stand, connecting with new companies and catching up with familiar faces.
