Cities can get the most out of #micromobility by implementing smart, balanced regulations rather than risking unintended consequences. 🚲 Lars Christian Grødem-Olsen (Mobility Consultant) shared greats insights on World Economic Forum, outlining recommendations for cities to align mobility services with urban goals and citizens' needs. 🌆 Building on Lars’s insights, here are additional enhancements cities could consider: 1. Add vehicle capacity limits only where necessary 🎯 Set vehicle caps only where needed, ensuring better service distribution without restricting access in outlying areas. 2. Avoid digital overregulation: ⚙️ Start with little regulation. More regulations can always be added as necessary. It’s digital #dynamicregulation, you know! 3. Ensure good parking coverage: 🅿️ Provide both digital and physical parking options to enhance clarity and convenience for users. 4. Issue parking tickets 🚨 Operators should be encouraged to respond to parking reports made by residents - and thereby avoid fines.  5. Simplify tender and compliance processes: 📄 Most cities could be open to any operator that complies to rules, exchange data and pay fees.  6. Limit regulatory fees: 💰 📈 📉 Keep fees dynamic to reflect real-time conditions and meet city needs effectively.
