TRAINING COURSES ON ETS AND CARBON MARKET FOR BIG EMITTERS IN HO CHI MINH CITY Following the success of two training courses on ETS and the carbon market in Hanoi, VNEEC will continue to organize two consecutive training courses on ETS and the carbon market in Ho Chi Minh City, each lasting 2 days, from 06th - 09th May, 2024. The first training course will take place on May 6th - 7th, 2024 and the second training course will be held from 8th - 9th May, 2024. Both training courses are tailored for big emitters, representatives of ministries, responsible agencies at all levels, business associations, and media. The 2-day training course on ETS and the carbon market is part of the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership 's (ETP) support aiming to develop the carbon market in Viet Nam in cooperation with the Department of Climate Change (DCC), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) under the technical assistance (TA) “Emission Trading System (ETS) Piloting and Simulation in Vietnam”. The main objective of the TA is to develop and organize training courses on ETS and the carbon market, using the ETS simulation tool #CarbonSim which has been tailored to the Vietnamese context for various stakeholders including policymakers, research institutes, universities, financial institutions, media representatives, and especially big emitters that will be covered under Vietnam’s ETS in the future. The training course instructors are renowned experts in ETS as well as both domestic and international carbon markets. After the training course, participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by the DCC and ETP. *Important: Space is limited. The workshop may be fully subscribed. TRAINING COURSES ON ETS AND CARBON MARKET FOR POLICYMAKERS AND BIG EMITTERS IN HANOI VNEEC organises two consecutive training courses on Emission Trading System (ETS) and the carbon market in Hanoi, each lasting 2 days, from 26 February to 01 March 2024. The initial course, occurring on 26th – 27th February 2024, targets representatives from ministries, responsible agencies, and individuals involved in the establishment and management of carbon exchange platforms and markets in Vietnam. The second training course is tailored for representatives from energy-intensive enterprises, business associations, and media, occurring on 29th February and 01st March 2024.
