From dreaming of trips in college to exploring Meghalaya solo, Pratham Bhomkar’s journey is incredible!🤩 When asked why he started travelling solo, he said, “It all started when most of my friends said NO to my trip plans—90% of the time.🥲That’s when I decided to stop waiting and start travelling solo. In March 2023, I took my first flight and embarked on my first solo adventure with Zo Trips to Meghalaya, a decision that changed everything.” ✈️ Pratham highlighted his challenges, “The idea of travelling alone was scary at first. What if something went wrong? What if I didn’t find anyone to connect with? But thanks to Zo Trips, I wasn’t truly alone. Their reliability, well-organized plans, and the promise of meeting other solo travellers were a comforting start. And as I discovered, there’s always at least one traveller you click with, someone who makes the trip even more memorable.”🤝 Why Meghalaya? 🤔 He answered, “Because the rains remind me of my home, Karwar—eastern mountains meeting the western mountains. I wanted to experience the lush greenery and the magic of the 2nd highest rainfall place in the world. The waterfalls left me speechless, every single one of them. And while I can’t remember all their names, the beauty is etched in my mind forever. I’m already planning to return next year—this time without the rain, as there’s so much more to explore.”😍 “The people. The friends I made during that trip are still in my life today. We’re still in touch, sharing stories, and even though we haven’t all connected on LinkedIn, our bond remains strong. The journey back to the airport was full of tears and laughter—proof that the connections you make while travelling are as important as the destinations themselves” was his best memory.🙌 This is what Pratham recommends, “To anyone out there holding back on their travel dreams, here’s my advice: Don’t wait. Most of your friends will say no to trips, but that shouldn’t stop you. Don’t be scared to go alone; things will fall into place. Meet Thennavan Arjunan, who took a break from his IT job and became a Community Manager at Zostel.🙋 Transitioning from a corporate career to the vibrant community-building world, Thennavan found his calling as the Community Manager at Zostel Poombarai, nestled in the serene Western Ghats of Tamil Nadu. After a brief internship with Zostel, he discovered a passion for connecting with people, creating positive vibes, and curating experiences that make travellers feel at home. 🫶 From greeting guests with a warm smile to organizing hikes, live music sessions, and stargazing nights, Thennavan’s day revolves around fostering connections.
