During his tenure as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, Dr. Singh continued to drive economic progress, overseeing policies that propelled India to one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. His government prioritised #infrastructure development, financial inclusion, and rural upliftment, including flagship schemes like the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (#NREGA). The global financial crisis of 2008 tested his #leadership, but his steady hand and economic strategies helped India navigate through with resilience. Notably, he championed the landmark India-U.S. Civil Nuclear Agreement, marking a pivotal moment in India’s global standing and strategic partnerships. A scholar, visionary, and leader of impeccable integrity, Dr. Singh’s contributions will remain a cornerstone of India’s journey toward progress. TV9 Network across the country celebrated its MD Barun Das’s birthday on November 28 and, as expected, the excitement was all about (apart from his age-defying looks!) the network’s first-ever News9 Global Summit in Stuttgart, Germany. Universally, the questions were about the “secret sauce” that made the impossible possible. The MD’s one-word answer to it: Team.
