This innovative urban development aims to integrate principles of mindfulness into its design and functionality, promoting well-being through green spaces, walking and cycling paths, and community-focused activities. Spanning over 2,500 square kilometres near the Indian border, GMC is envisioned as an economic corridor linking South Asia to Southeast Asia, with a focus on sustainable business practices rooted in Bhutan's rich Buddhist heritage. As the country seeks to revitalize its economy and address challenges such as youth unemployment, this project represents a strategic move to attract investment and create jobs while fostering a lifestyle centred on mindfulness and environmental stewardship.
