We are delighted to announce the completion of Bootcamp on Building Project Management for Cohort 1! 12 engaging sessions to give a complete overview of a construction project from idea to reality. The stakeholders involved, activities required to be done, risks and challenges at every stage, decisions to be made and finally tools that can be used. Giving young students a peek into the opportunities that lie ahead in a career in the built environment. We had some very diligent students who logged in week after week late nights on weekdays and over weekend mornings, who completed their assignments (mostly) and presented their reports to the cohort. Keen to learn, curious and open for feedback - it was a delight to interact with them! We also had 2 very interesting guest lectures by enthusiastic professionals who took time out from their work schedules to speak to students. Priya Shyam Parameswaran, Abhijeet Hodbe ⭐️, thank you! As we close 2024, we plan on spending the next couple of weeks in incorporating learnings and feedback from cohort 1. We will start the next cohort in late January 2025. PS: We have only 3 students now who are looking for placements. If your company is willing to recruit a #graduatetrainee, please reach out. #learninganddevelopment #bridgecourse #builtenvironment #civilengineering #architecture #2024 The Build ED Shobha Regunathan

Last week, as part of our Program on Introduction to Building Project Management, we covered Resource Management. What can go wrong if resources (sourcing, logistics, deployment) are not controlled? What are the benefits of active Resource Management? Abhijeet Hodbe ⭐️, Project Manager specializing in Data Centers , conducted a guest session on Resource Management where he spoke from his experience and shared examples of various techniques used in Resource Management. He ended the session with a case study of Just in Time approach applied to Construction, and its various benefits and how he himself had been involved in all upstream activities to ensure equipment was delivered just before its requirement on the site. In September 2024 we started a 12 session program for engineering and architecture/ interior design students, post grad students and freshers to get introduced to Building Project Management. We are nearing the end of the program having covered 9 sessions. Sessions have been carefully selected and content created to ensure minimum overlap with existing curriculum - which is remarkable in that there are final year post graduate students of project management enrolled for the program! Students gain clarity of broad level concepts that have direct practical application on projects. They get to apply and test the concepts on simple problems. And listen to experience of subject matter experts via guest sessions. The next few sessions will focus on topics such as Resource Management, Building Operations, Facilities Management etc If you think anyone you know or you yourself could benefit from the sessions, write to us at office@thebuilded.com to be included in our current/ next cohort!
