The recent UPSC and NEET scam controversies have brought to light significant flaws in our competitive examination system, highlighting how it may be failing our students. These incidents have raised urgent questions about the fairness, transparency, and meritocracy of the system that plays such a crucial role in shaping the futures of millions. Taking these concerns into account, the topic for our upcoming Policy Manthan session is "Overhauling Competitive Examination System: Ensuring Fairness, Transparency, and Meritocracy in India." This time, we're making the session more dynamic as suggested by you all by turning it into a for-or-against "dialogue". The 2 sides of the dialogue are:- Complete Overhaul: This team will argue that the entire system needs to be dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up to address its deep-rooted issues. Reforming the System: This team will advocate for targeted reforms within the existing framework to improve fairness, transparency, and meritocracy. Each participant will have 5 minutes to present their arguments. We encourage you to share innovative policy analysis, ideas, and recommendations. Consider the broader implications of your stance, and be prepared to address potential counterarguments. We want this debate to be not just informative but also engaging. Think creatively, present with confidence, and showcase your leadership skills.
