As we reflect on 2024, it’s humbling to see how far RoadVision AI has come—a company that holds a unique place in my heart as the first spin-off from Indika AI. Road safety is a cause that resonates deeply. Every road accident is a story of loss—a loved one, a dream, or a future—despite the enormous investments in building and maintaining road networks globally. Roads are meant to connect us, offering safe and smooth transportation. Yet ensuring their safety and reliability remains a complex challenge. At RoadVision AI, we believe in the power of technology to make a difference. Even if it has a 1% potential to improve road safety and management, we are committed to exploring every possibility to drive change. This year, we celebrated many milestones—each one a testament to perseverance, innovation, and the collective effort of our team, clients, and partners. These achievements motivate us to keep pushing forward, building solutions that save lives and make roads smarter and better managed. To our clients and partners, thank you for your trust and collaboration. To our exceptional team, your passion and dedication inspire me every day. As we look ahead to 2025, we remain steadfast in our mission to leverage technology for safer, smarter roads across the globe. #2024review
What drives a company in its initial years? ChatGPT answered resilience, adaptability, and whatnot! But I believe the most important driver is the "small wins". In the absence of immediate large-scale success, small wins are the best validation be it the first paying customer, a positive review, or securing initial funding. Year 2024 marks the birth of RoadVision AI—a company driven by a simple yet powerful vision: to make roads safer, smarter, and better managed using AI and Digital Twins technology. Looking back, it feels incredible how far we’ve come in such a short span, with these "small wins" [1] Successfully completed our first international project receiving strong interest to manage larger road network, apart from several projects with road companies, agencies, and NGOs here in India [2] Secured our first-ever funding from a strategic investor and TiHAN IIT Hyderabad, validating our vision and potential. [3] Onboarded over half a dozen channel partners across India and internationally [4] Formed a strategic partnership with a leading road engineering company AKCM Group, bridging engineering excellence with AI innovation. [4] Awarded the nasscom ai Gamechangers Award—a testament to our impactful technology solutions. [5] Featured in Inc42 Media spotlighting innovation in the startup ecosystem. [6] Exhibited and presented RoadVision AI more than a dozen events and conferences; including - International Road Federation (IRF) - Official Account World Congress 2024 (Turkey), - TrafficInfratech Expo Smart Mobility Conference (Delhi), - GeoSmart India (Hyderabad), and more. [7] Selected for the prestigious Google for Startups AI Academy, gaining mentorship and resources to scale innovation. These are just the visible milestones though. Behind the scenes, we built something even more remarkable that led to these achievements—a lean but incredible team of 8 passionate individuals [1] Tech Team: Developed and consistently improved cutting-edge road technology use cases for better road safety and management. [2] Business Team: Built a strong online community, personally spoke with hundreds of prospects, generated valuable leads, turned conversations into clients, and successfully managed parallel projects. [3] Leadership: Actively engaged with industry leaders, policymakers, and partners to drive innovation and create meaningful impact. We celebrate our wins of 2024, but one thing we have learnt this year is to put our heads down and continue working. As we step into 2025, we remain grounded in our mission—to leverage technology for better, safer, and smarter roads worldwide. A shoutout to our incredible supporters: Anshul, Dheerendra, and the entire PanScience Innovations (PSI) team. This creative protest highlights the crumbling state of the infamous S-Cross Road, a 1.5 km stretch that feels more like an off-road adventure than a daily commute. 🚧 Commuters, especially near the Railway Under Bridge, are stuck navigating a nightmare of potholes, making their lives difficult (and their vehicles even more so!). A year ago, they formed a human chain demanding action. Today, it’s a cake-cutting protest to say, "Enough is enough!" It’s high time the potholes were fixed before we all need SUVs for city commutes. 🙏 News and Picture Credit: Hindustan Times #potholes #bangalore #roads #saveroads

India’s road safety crisis is a harsh reality we can no longer ignore. With 1.78 𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐡 lives lost annually, and the majority being young individuals aged 18-34, the impact is devastating. Poor infrastructure, lack of lane discipline, and inadequate emergency care are just a few of the challenges fueling this issue. 𝐀 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 India boasts the second-largest road network in the world, comprising approximately 5.9 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬. However, the quality of this infrastructure is often criticised: 💠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬: National Highways, which represent only 3% of the total network, carry about 40% of road traffic, leading to severe congestion. 💠 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: Inefficient road conditions contribute to economic losses, increased accidents (over 500,000 annually), and environmental pollution from transportation emissions. 💠 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬: Despite a steady increase in budget allocations for road development, there is a disproportionate focus on new construction over maintenance, resulting in deteriorating existing infrastructure.
