𝗣𝗛𝗗𝗖𝗖𝗜 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲-𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺
PHDCCI delegation, led by Mr Hemant Jain, President, PHDCCI, comprising Mr. Mukul Bagla, Chairman, Direct Tax Committee; Mr Pramod Kumar Rai, Chairman, Indirect Taxes Committee; Dr Ranjeet Mehta, CEO & Secretary General; Dr S P Sharma, Chief Economist | Deputy Secretary General and Mr Nanda Mishra, Joint Secretary, PHDCCI, interacted with Shri Sanjay Malhotra, IAS, Revenue Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and his team on Thursday, 7 November 2024 at North Block, New Delhi. PHDCCI submitted the Pre-Budget Memorandum 2025-26. The major highlights included;
1. Peak tax rate for corporates, partnership firms and individuals should not be more than 25%
2. The size of the Budget should be more than Rs 51 lakh crore
3. Capital expenditure must be in the tune of more than Rs 13 lakh crore
4. Reforms to increase manufacturing share in GDP to 25% by 2030
5. Removal of inverted duty structure
6. Rationalisation of custom duties
7. Fast tracking of Faceless Appeals by introducing statutory Period
8. Capacity building for exporters
9. Inclusion of medium industries for settlement of delayed payments and
10. Various issues related to GST, among others
