One of our investee companies is looking to hire a Financial Controller for their food retail business. Role description: The Financial Controller will be an important partner to business decision makers and enable growth, solutions and wisdom in dealing with the overall ecosystem of partners, vendors, brands and more. He/She would of course play an important role in maintaining financial health of the company. Key Accountabilities: · Commercial Negotiations: Spearhead commercial negotiations with vendors & partners to establish agreements, that align with the company’s objectives & maximize value. · Process & controls: Implement internal controls and financial policies that safeguard assets (inventory, fixed assets, people). · Inventory control: Review the process of every inventory movement in/out of store and monitor the controls around the same. · Cost Management: Analyse costs related to sourcing, production, and distribution, helping to identify areas for efficiency improvements while maintaining quality. · Compliances: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and manage all tax related requirements including but not limited to GST and any other taxes as required. · Financial Analysis: Conduct profitability analysis on product lines and sales channels, providing insights to support decision-making and pricing strategies. · Working capital and cash flow management: Manage the cash flow of the business and build relationships along with category partners for optimisation of the working capital deployment. Manage the cash flow of the business within the budgeted limits.
