  • 🎉 Celebrating Success with Local Gift Box! 🎉 This Diwali, we are overjoyed to share a monumental achievement for Kaarigar Clinic. Born during the challenging times of COVID, the Local Gift Box initiative was our way of spreading love and strength. Today, it stands as a testament to gratitude and community spirit. We are thrilled to announce that the Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat has chosen Local Gift Box to express gratitude to the people of Gujarat. Recently, we received our largest order yet from the Government of Gujarat—over 27,000 items! This Diwali is a celebration for all makers and users, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Chief Minister for supporting local crafts. We are immensely proud of our artisans, team members, and everyone who contributed their time and energy to make this happen. Let's continue this beautiful chain of gifting and gratitude. • 🎉 Celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s Birth Anniversary and Kaarigar Clinic’s 5th Foundation Day! 🌟 On this special day, we honor the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi—a visionary leader who championed self-reliance, community empowerment, and sustainable living. His principles continue to inspire us at Kaarigar Clinic, where we’ve woven his ideals into the very fabric of our work. 🌿 Gandhian Principles in Action: The 100 Miles Economy Gandhiji envisioned villages as self-sufficient hubs, producing their own essentials—food, clothing, and more. He believed that local industries and crafts should flourish, reducing dependence on external resources. At Kaarigar Clinic, we’ve taken this vision to heart. We embarked on an exciting journey with our talented artisans, exploring the concept of a 100 miles economy. What does that mean? It’s simple: We create, produce, and thrive within a 100-kilometer radius. Local Techniques: Our artisans use traditional techniques passed down through generations. From handloom weaving to pottery, we celebrate local craftsmanship. Local Materials: We source materials from nearby regions. This not only supports local suppliers but also reduces our carbon footprint. Local Impact: When you buy an artisanal product, you’re supporting livelihoods within the same 100-kilometer radius. It’s a beautiful cycle of sustainability. Empowering Communities: By working locally, we empower artisans, especially women, to thrive in their own neighbourhoods. Reducing Environmental Impact: Short supply chains mean less transportation, less pollution, and a healthier planet. As we celebrate today, let’s pledge to build a stronger, more resilient India—one where local economies flourish, artisans thrive, and sustainability reigns supreme. 🌻 Celebrating Gandhi’s principles isn’t just a one-day affair—it’s a commitment we can weave into our daily lives. Whether it’s promoting local artisans, practicing sustainability, or fostering kindness, every small action counts. So, let’s carry Gandhi’s spirit with us, not just on his birth anniversary, but in every interaction, decision, and endeavour. 🙌✨ #GandhiJayanti #LocalEconomy #ArtisanEmpowerment #SustainableLiving

  • 🌍 Celebrating World Entrepreneurs’ Day with a Vision for a Sustainable Future! 🌍 Did you know that while 90% of startups in India fail, 80% of social entrepreneurs have sustained their organizations over the last decade? This World Entrepreneurs’ Day, let’s reflect on how we can support more social entrepreneurs to transform the social and economic landscape of our country. At Kaarigar Clinic, we’ve embraced the concept of the 100 Miles Economy, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a decentralized economy. This simple yet powerful idea focuses on achieving sustainability within a 100-mile radius by: Procuring raw materials locally Producing goods within the community Creating markets close to home Our artisan entrepreneurs have seen incredible success with this model, generating significant business within their local areas. By shortening the supply chain and reducing the carbon footprint, the 100 Miles Economy not only supports local economies but also contributes to environmental sustainability. As we look to the future, the world needs more social entrepreneurs who can address social, economic, and climate issues. The 100 Miles Economy offers a promising model for sustainability and self-reliance. 💡 We invite you to share your thoughts and feedback on the 100 Miles Economy. How do you think this model can help develop an Atmanirbhar Bharat? Let’s come together to support and sustain social entrepreneurship in India! #WorldEntrepreneursDay #SocialEntrepreneurship #100MilesEconomy #Sustainability #AtmanirbharBharat #LocalEconomy #KaarigarClinic

  • Raksha Bandhan: A Cultural Tradition with Economic Impact : Celebrating Tradition and Entrepreneurship with Harsha Sorathiya Raksha Bandhan, a festival that celebrates the sacred bond between siblings, has always been a cornerstone of Indian culture. This year, it also marks a significant milestone for one of our dedicated entrepreneurs, Harsha Sorathiya. Harsha, who recently completed our 90-day Business Wellness Program at Kaarigar Clinic, has turned tradition into triumph by creating unique rakhis made from cow dung. Her initial target was to sell 1,000 rakhis, but her passion and clarity have led her to sell over 3,500 rakhis this Raksha Bandhan! 🎉 This achievement not only highlights Harsha’s entrepreneurial spirit but also underscores the broader economic impact of cultural traditions. The Raksha Bandhan market has seen tremendous growth, with sales rising from Rs 7,000 crores in 2022 to over Rs 12,000 crores in 2023. This surge benefits not just large corporations but also small businesses, artisans, and farmers who rely on this festive season to sustain their livelihoods. At Kaarigar Clinic, we are committed to empowering artisans like Harsha, helping them transform their skills into sustainable businesses. Her success story is a testament to the potential of women entrepreneurs in India and the power of cultural traditions to drive economic growth. We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on how cultural traditions like Raksha Bandhan can continue to support and uplift small businesses and artisans. • 🌟 From Government Stability to Crafting Success: The Inspiring Journey of Riyaz Khatri 🌟 In a country where government jobs are highly coveted, Riyaz Khatri’s decision to leave his prestigious role as a Deputy Section Officer in the Gujarat government for his true passion is nothing short of extraordinary. Hailing from Dhamadka village, Gujarat, Riyaz embraced his family’s traditional Ajrakh print craft—a heritage deeply rooted in his community. With a strategic approach, Riyaz enrolled in the Kaarigar Clinic’s 90-day Business Wellness Program while still employed.
